Feature image for our build an island potions guide showing the merchant stall with a potion for sale in the centre

Building an Island is thirsty work, which is why I made this Build an Island Potions Guide. Here, I tell you what each Potion type does, its rarity and cost, and then which one you should invest in.

Start playing Build an Island on Roblox. If you’re a fan of this title, you may also like Grow a Garden! Try our Seed Tier List to help you get started.

Build an Island Potions Guide – Obtainment

Potions provide temporary buffs to help enhance your island progression and productivity. You’ll find Potions hidden in Build an Island Codes, Daily Login Rewards, or most commonly, by visiting the Merchant.

The Merchant NPC restocks his wares every 5 minutes and has the chance to provide several Potion types. Let’s get into it!

Potion Types

It’s worth noting that once consumed, all Potions last between 10-15 minutes. Use them wisely to maximise results!

  • Busy Bee Potion
    • Cost: 135 Gold
    • Rarity: Rare
    • Uses: Doubles the productivity of Bees around your island.
  • Growth Potion
    • Cost: 480 Gold
    • Rarity: Rare
    • Uses: All materials around the island (Trees and Stone, for example) grow back quicker whilst this potion is in effect.
  • Strength Potion
    • Cost: 720 Gold
    • Rarity: Epic
    • Uses: Doubles the damage dealt.
  • Resource Potion
    • Cost: 960 Gold
    • Rarity: Legendary
    • Uses: Gain double the resources.
  • Galaxy Potion
    • Cost: 1.4k Gold
    • Rarity: Legendary
    • Uses: Turns all tools into their Galaxy equivalent to one-tap everything. (Basically an overpowered Strength Potion)

Which Potion Is The Best?

Despite being the most expensive, I wouldn’t claim the Galaxy Potion as the best. Instead, save your Gold and purchase the Resource Potion! This overpowered elixir makes the monotonous grind for resources way less… well… monotonous. By providing a double resource gain buff, you quickly accumulate necessary materials such as wood, stone, gold, etc, to continue expanding your island.
