Clover Retribution Grimoire Gauntlet Guide
Despite the name, the Grimoire Gauntlet isn’t an item! Instead, this is a unique game mode teeming with rewards for the higher-level players.
To access the Grimoire Gauntlet, you’ll need to locate the Lepho Warlord NPC who resides to the North-West of the Desert Ruins. Engaging in a conversation will invite you to participate in the Grimoire Gauntlet and trigger the Conquer The Gauntlet quest.
The Conquer The Gauntlet quest refreshes daily and tasks the user with reaching wave 20 of the Grimoire Gauntlet in return for +25,000 EXP, +2,500 Gold and +12 Spins.
What Is The Grimoire Gauntlet?
The Grimoire Gauntlet is an infinite game mode where the player goes up against waves of endless foes. Each wave introduces stronger enemies including bosses and in-game events. Luckily, you do get some help with power-ups along the way.
- Every 3 Waves – Temporary powerup buffs for the player
- Every 5 Waves – Random Boss spawn
- Every 6 Waves – Random Event spawn
- Every 11 Waves – Alter spawn which offers a permanent buff to the player during the game
Grimoire Gauntlet Rewards
The rewards are split into two categories; the Alter rewards from every 11 rounds, and the end-game rewards.
Alter Rewards:
As expected, the drops aren’t guaranteed so you’ll likely have to play the Grimoire Gauntlet daily and reach the Alter levels.
- EXP
- Gold
- Crimson Majesty (Accessory) – +25 INT +Fire Resistance 1 Trait
- Rocket Mage Staff (Weapon) – +16.5 Fire DMG, +10 INT, +10 CON
- Eagle’s Talon (Weapon) – check back for info!
- Founding Gentleman Coat (Armour) – +76 CON, +3 INT
- Coat of the Revolutionary (Armour) – +20 STR, +20 DEX, +15% DMG reduction
End-game Rewards:
These rewards also aren’t guaranteed, so again I encourage you to play the game mode daily!

- Gold
- Devil Eye (Item) – Rerolls Devil stats or summons another Devil with extra steps
- Devil Horn (Item) – Rerolls your Devil’s appearance or summons another Devil with extra steps
- Soul Fragment (Item) – Recovers 25% Devil mana
- Mana Crystal (Item) – Upgrades weapons
- Greater Mana Crystal (Item) – Upgrades weapons
