What Are Dragon Fruit And What’s The Issue With Harvesting Them?
Dragon Fruit are a Mythical crop, and a good bet for mid-game money-making, which gives you a renewable crop with a decent sale price. The one downside to this is they are… weirdly tricky to harvest sometimes. It’s actually pretty strange. So, rather than just waiting to see if a future update will save the day, we’ve come up with a few ideas to help you if you’re having trouble.
Dragon Fruit Harvesting Tips
Here are our tips for getting that one awkward fruit.
- Jump. Sometimes, a bit of extra height will make the harvesting prompt appear, and you can hit it while still airborne.
- Climb on top. Some fruit you can’t harvest from below works fine from the top of the tree. The Dragon Fruit tree’s leaves are well-suited for jumping on and climbing, too.
- Wait. Sometimes a fruit might just be big, but not finished growing. Come back after a while and try again. Remember, it’s not fully grown until it has a full set of leaves.
- If all else fails, use a Harvester. The Harvester is a tool bought from the Gear Shop for 30,000,000c. You can use it on a plant to harvest every fruit it has, and you can do this five times. As you can see, it’s pretty pricey, so we wouldn’t recommend it for regular harvests, but if you’ve got that giant, shocked, voidtouched, celestial Dragon Fruit that you’re ready to cash in to fund you next garden extension but you just can’t seem to grab it, it might be worth spending money on a Harvester.
