Dead Rails Classes Guide – What Are Classes and Obtainment

Classes aren’t birthright, and to obtain one, you’ll need to exchange hard-earned Bonds. Visit the Tailor store in the main lobby to browse each Class and its price. Equipping a Class allows you to spawn in each new game with a head start thanks to the unique starter items included in each variety.

Classes Masterlist

Let’s get right into it!

None

This is the standard. Every player begins with no Class, which means no enhancers, special skills or items to take into a new game. Except the trusty Shovel that is…

Doctor

This medic Class costs 15 Bonds and adorns players with a small black bowler’s hat. Doctors spawn with healing items, including x2 Bandages and x2 Snake Oil, alongside the standard Shovel. This class also allows the Doctor player to sacrifice half of their HP to heal another player with no Bandage cost. Nifty!

Ironclad

Armour up! This Class stunts a silver helmet and chest piece. In exchange for 100 Bonds, you can become an Ironclad player who has exceptional defensive capabilities. However, movement speed tanks by 20% because of the weight of the armour… This Class starts with the Shovel, Helmet, Chestplate, Left Shoulder Armour, and Right Shoulder Armour.

The Alamo

Unlike the Ironclad, which benefits the sole player, the Alamo Class focuses on defense for itself and its allies. With great fortification ability, the train is in safe hands with Alamo Classes for the price of 50 Bonds. This Class begins with a Helmet, x3 Metal Sheets, x3 Barbed wires, and a Shovel.

Arsonist

Coming in hot is the Arsonist Class! For 20 Bonds, you’ll obtain a scorched cowboy hat and an affiliation with fire. This class deals double fire damage, and spawns with x4 Molotov’s and the Shovel.

Zombie

Rise from the dead with the Zombie class! For 75 Bonds, you spawn with just a Shovel… But wait, that’s not all! This Class can eat dead bodies to replenish health in exchange for no longer using bandages or snake oil. Plus, they’re less likely to be detected by enemies.

Survivalist

This class starts with x1 Shovel and x1 Tomahawk in exchange for 75 Bonds. This Class also deals more damage the lower the player’s health becomes!

Priest

This class stunts a golden cross necklace and, for the high price of 75 Bonds, receives lightning immunity. When spawning, Priests begin the game with x2 Crucifix, x2 Holy Water, and x1 Shovel.

Vampire

This vampiric class costs 75 Bonds, and players who adopt its lifestyle have faster movement speed and higher melee damage in exchange for taking damage in direct sunlight. When starting, Vampires have x1 Shovel and x1 Vampire Knife.

High Roller

Costing 50 Bonds, the High Roller class can collect moneybags for x1.5 more, however, this class is ten times more likely to be struck by lightning! They begin with only the trusty Shovel and no additional items.

Conductor

Starting with x2 Coal, the Conductor Class can drive the train faster. However, they have half the maximum health of a standard player and don’t spawn with a melee weapon. This class costs 50 Bonds to obtain.

Cowboy

Cowboys cost 50 Bonds and spawn with plenty of fun gadgets to try! They get a tamed horse, x2 Revolver Ammo, x1 Saddle, x1 Shovel and x1 Revolver.

Miner

Costing 15 Bonds, the Miner Class spawns with x1 Pickaxe, x2 Coal, and x1 Mining Helmet. The helmet provides a small light, illuminating areas surrounding the player wearing it!

Milkman

This popular class costs 75 Bonds, and lets players begin with x1 Milk Bottle and x1 Shovel. When consuming Milk, the Milkman player gains a long but temporary buff to their regeneration, damage, and speed!
