Dead Rails’ last content update was definitely the update of new classes, with an impressive seven to choose from… if you’ve got the bonds, that is. One of these is the fascinating Dead Rails High Roller, the subject of our guide. What does the class do? How can you get it, and is it worth the trouble? We’ll try and explain all of that below.
You can play Dead Rails right now over on Roblox. If you’re interested in another of the new classes, take a look at our Dead Rails Conductor guide too, before you go.
Dead Rails High Roller Guide
In the first section, we’ll run over the class features. Then we’ll discuss how to unlock it. Finally, we’ll give our takes on whether it’s a good class, or not worth picking up.
About The High Roller
The High Roller is all about playing the odds. This class has a combination of very good luck, and very bad. Balancing those is the key to success. The High Roller collects 1.5 times more money from money bags. On the other hand, this class is, it seems, hated by God, because they’re way more likely to be struck by lightning that anyone else.
The High Roller spawns with the following equipment:
- Shovel
How To Get The High Roller Class
You can get the High Roller class from the Tailor’s Shop in the Lobby. This class shop deals in Bonds, and the High Roller costs 50 Bonds to buy, putting it somewhere in the mid-range in terms of class prices. You can get Bonds in-game through completing runs, completing challenges from the lobby’s Challenge Board, and in bank vaults. Rarely, you can find them lying around the world, too.
Is The High Roller Worth It?
Obviously the High Roller has one notable disadvantage, though in our opinion, the money-making advantages the class offers considerably outweighs the inconvenience of the lighting problem. Ideally, you should not be walking around in a lightning storm event if you can help it anyway, unless you have a lighting rod, or the Priest class. We’d generally recommend staying under cover, and the train provides plenty of cover to let you wait storms out if you don’t have the lighting rod.
All in all, it’s well worth using.
