Developer Monster Couch has announced Wingspan Bird Packs, the first batch being British Birds. The bird pack is a new series of DLC that expands the game’s roster with previously unseen birds in the digital version.
Wingspan Bird Pack: British Birds is arriving next week
The first batch launches on June 15th, 2026. It will be available across Android, iOS, Steam, GOG, Nintendo Switch, Xbox, and PlayStation. Wingspan Digital plans to add six such expansions with a total of 150 new birds with fresh abilities and new sounds.
The Bird Packs add more species from parts of the world that players have already explored in Wingspan. Every release will contain 25 bird species that were not previously included in the game, with a unique player portrait.
The first release, Wingspan Bird Pack: British Birds, brings species found throughout the United Kingdom and the wider British Isles. You’ll hear authentic bird songs for each species while experimenting with new strategies based on their unique powers.
Alongside the new cards, the British Birds pack also includes an exclusive player portrait inspired by Flan, the designer behind the pack. Monster Couch says the addition gives players a few new favourites to collect while bringing more variety to their wildlife preserves.
It’s just the beginning!
Over time, all six Bird Packs will arrive on every platform, with each one adding another 25 birds and its own exclusive portrait. Future releases are expected to feature species from Asia, Continental Europe, New Zealand, and North America.
