The Vampire Knife is a rather unique melee weapon. Like other melee, you need to be at close range to hit your target. Unlike the others, the Vampire Knife has a lifesteal ability, this means you can regain health by hitting enemies with it. This makes is a lot more effective than most melee weapons, which often leave you trading hits with whatever monster is attacking you.
How To Get The Vampire Knife
You can’t buy the Vampire Knife. It’s only available through looting, and not through the easy kind either. The Vampire Knife is generally found in the new Castle structure, which you can encounter along your journey. It might not be an easy robbery, so it’s better to skip if you’re low on supplies, but the rewards can be major if you pull it off.
Uses For The Vampire Knife
While the Vampire Knife is pretty strong for a melee weapon, don’t let that make you overconfident. As a melee weapon, it’s still better as a backup rather than something you go to first in the event of an attack. If you let enemies swarm you, you may get overwhelmed even with lifesteal on your side. Still, it’s a better backup weapon than perhaps anything else.
