Dead Rails now has challenges, and one of them means you cannot hurt a single soul, no matter how terrifying they are. In this Dead Rails Pacifist guide, we’ll talk you through what this challenge is and give you some tips to complete it.

What Is The Pacifist Challenge?
Although the name slightly gives it away, the Pacifist challenge is all about not hurting or killing an enemy throughout your whole playthrough. The description for it is as follows: “Complete the game without any player killing an enemy (Safe zone turrets don’t count).”
If you complete this challenge, you will receive x30 Bonds and x9 Sheriff Star Points.
How To Complete The Pacifist Challenge
Although it may seem simple enough, there is a lot more to it than simply not hurting an enemy. This is tricky in itself. Especially once you get closer to the endpoint and lower the fort as there are swarms of enemies coming your way.
Luckily, we’ve got some tips below to help you!
- Playing Solo
- They say teamwork makes the dreamwork. However, we recommend you take this challenge alone, or with players/friends you trust. If you’re in a group and someone kills an enemy, the challenge ends. Even if you weren’t the one who did the kill. If you do team up, make sure you trust those you are playing with. And remind them not to hurt anyone.
- Snake Oil
- Stock up on plenty of Snake Oil. You can purchase this for 35$ from Doctor Stores. When you use this, your speed increases by 50% for 12 seconds. And you heal 1.5% of your max health every 0.1 seconds.
- Barricade The Train
- It’s a good idea to use metal sheets (which you can purchase from stores) to barricade the train and seal any open spaces. This will ensure that when an Outlaw shoots at you, you won’t get hit.
- High Roller
- High Roller is the suggested class for this challenge. You collect money bags for x1.5 more, but you are x10 more likely to be hit by lightning. The increased cash is great for purchasing items to help you.
