Dead Rails Potion Tier List
Each Potion has a corresponding crafting recipe, and some are easier to obtain with relevant classes, such as the Milkman, who begins with Milk Bottles. Since each run is unique, this tier focuses on ranking Potions by their overall enhancer and how well-balanced it is to the average game.
S-TIER
The absolute best Potions in Dead Rails! These elite few come in clutch for most playthroughs and make all the difference between success and failure. Save your materials and aim to craft these!
- Angel Tears
- Heals the user for full health.
- Holy Water
- Ignite and burn nearby enemies. This Potion doesn’t harm players!
A-TIER
Not the best, but certainly not the worst! These Potions are great alternatives to craft if you need a boost in a pinch. They’re not as effective or useful as the top tier, but still beneficial long-term.
- Primordial Soup
- Reanimate a defeated mob to fight alongside you and your team.
B-TIER
This average tier reserves itself for well-rounded Potions that are both easy to acquire and have decent usability. Chances are, you’ll rely on at least one of these during a run.
- Devil’s Tears
- Similar to Holy Water, except the explosion of flames can damage players.
C-TIER
Save your materials! Despite escaping the worst tier, these Potions aren’t necessary for most playthroughs.
- Nothing to see here…
D-TIER
These Potions offer niche uses and aren’t beneficial unless you/your team find yourself in a specific situation.
- There are no D-Tier Potions right now!
