Where To Find Magmatar
The Magmatar is located in the newest area, the Volkayno Island. This is located near Nookville, and you’ll need a boat to get there. If you’re feeling lost, you can follow the red waypoint marker on your screen that says ‘Volkayno’ that will lead you to it.
When you arrive, walk straight forward, and you will see a countdown. Magmatar spawns every 20 minutes, and you can keep watch on the countdown so you know how long is left before it spawns. When it spawns, walk forward and jump down into the hole, which will take you to the boss.
How To Defeat Magmatar
Luckily, you don’t need to take this boss on alone. You can team up with friends or other players and work together.
During the fight, Magma Arms will shoot out of the ground that you must dig up. Sometimes, they will drop Magma Shards, which decrease the spawn time by 30 seconds. You need to be careful, as the arms also deal damage and can injure you.
Every so often, Magmatar will move which causes a circle to shoot out from him. Touching these will also damage you, so you have to keep an eye out and jump over them. Half way through, Magmatar’s movements become more aggressive, so look out for any damage that comes your way and be sure to dig quickly!
Once you defeat Magmatar, you will receive the ‘Boss Slayer’ title. However, you only get this for the first time you beat him, not the others.
