Dig It New Shovels

Shovels are your main tool of action in Dig It, and each one possesses unique properties making them versatile and useful depending on which island you’re looting. Ideally, you’ll want a well-balanced Shovel with strong stats (and a bonus passive!)

Just because a Shovel is new, doesn’t necessarily make it worth purchasing. So, let’s get into all the latest Shovels in Dig It as of the Tropica Update.

Dynamite Shovel

Up first, the Dynamite Shovel! This tool hails from Tropica, found beside the Orc Merchant NPC for 65,500 D$. To purchase, you must first reach level 40+.

The Dynamite Shovel has overall decent stats but lacks in maximum weight capacity. However, it makes up for this with excellent control, strength and a strange passive ability.

  • Strength: 60
  • Stamina Loss: 18%
  • Loot Luck: 35%
  • Precision: 30%
  • Control: 60%
  • Stability: 30%
  • Max KG: 1,000

During the dig minigame, the Dynamite Shovel, per its name, has a chance to blow up your pile dealing damage which aids in loot progress.

Venom Shovel

Next, the sickly green Venom Shovel! This tool also resides on Tropica at the Orc Merchant stall, bought for 72,500 D$. To buy it, you must first reach level 40+, much like its Dynamite Kin.

When securing loot, the Shovel has a 40% chance to apply the Venom Mutation which increases item value by x2.5 and applies a sickly green cosmetic to them.

  • Strength: 50
  • Stamina Loss: 10%
  • Loot Luck: 35%
  • Precision: 35%
  • Control: 45%
  • Stability: 30%
  • Max KG: 7,500

Solar Shovel

Finally, the Solar Shovel. This final tool requires completing a quest to obtain and hides behind a high-level requirement and a hefty sum of Doolars. First, you must visit Tropica and climb the temple. Next, forfeit 20 Fallen Stars (obtained from the Falling Stars Event) to the centre and the shrine will open revealing the Shovel on sale for 500,000 D$. To buy it, you must be level 80+, double what is required for the other Tropica Shovels!

  • Strength: 80
  • Stamina Loss: 10%
  • Loot Luck: 45%
  • Precision: 75%
  • Control: 75%
  • Stability: 75%
  • Max KG: 50,000

As of the Tropica Update, the Solar Shovel offers the best base stats in the game. But, it’s much more than that as it stunts two unique passives including a random chance to strike your pile with Solar Strike dealing 30% of the shovel’s overall strength. It also has a 30% chance to apply the Solar or Holy Mutation, increasing item value by x5 or x3!
