About Giggles
Giggles show up only on Floor 2, The Mines. They’re nasty little critters that hang off the ceiling of passages. They’re small, so often the first clue you get to their presence is the odd bit of high-pitched laughter.. well that explains the name.
If you pass too close to a Giggle, it will launch at you and wrap around your face, dealing a large amount of damage.
How To Deal With Giggles
Below we’ve got a few tips on how to deal with the nasty things, which should hopefully make things a bit easier and help you survive.
- Make sure to listen for the sounds of laughter when you enter a room. It’s often fairly soft, so make sure you don’t miss it.
- If you hear a laugh, check the ceiling as that’s where they tend to hide. This isn’t just to locate the Giggle. If you keep eye contact with the monster, you can pass by closer without getting jumped. If you go directly underneath it may still pounce on you, but staring the Giggle down should let you pass by.
- You can temporarily pacify a Giggle with a bright light source. Shine it on the Giggle or throw it at it in the case of the glowstick.
- If grabbed by a Giggle other players can help you throw it off by approaching and interacting with the Giggle.
- You can trap a Giggle with the Crucifix.
- The game has three Achievements associated with Giggles.
- Trickshot – Hit a Giggle with a thrown glowstick.
- Just A Prank – Survive getting pounced by a Giggle.
- Not Funny – Take out a Giggle with the Crucifix.
