How To Get The Quest
If you head to the Grand Reef beyond Forsaken Shores, you should see the Bubble Mermaid on the shore. If you speak to her, she’ll offer you a quest for a reward that will let you ‘never drown’. Sounds appealing, right? In return, she wants three pieces of resin. She says they’re found in Mushgrove, though you probably haven’t see any there before.

How To Get Resin
Resin is a Secret catch found in Mushgrove Swamp.
As with other Secret catches, it’s very rare to find. It has no favored conditions and no favored bait. Its likelihood of appearing is based entirely on Luck. The Luck stat of your rod, the Universal Luck of the bait, Server Luck, Luck Budds from Merlin, and Luck-boosting events like the Aurora Borealis can all give you better chances. Either way, you’ll probably be grinding a long time before you get what you need.
Completing The Quest
Return to the Bubble Mermaid at Grand Reef and give her the three pieces of Resin. Once you’ve done that, she’ll ask for 25,000C$. After that, she awards you the Water Bubble.
The Water Bubble is an item that surrounds you in a big bubble. This gives you a bigger air meter than the Advanced Diving Gear, with multiple minutes of air. It’s very useful for getting around underwater, though we can’t say for certain we’d got through the trouble of fishing for resin without a very good fishing rod.
