How To Get A Fish Radar
The Fish Radar is pretty easy to get hold of. You’ll find one for sale on Moosewood. It sits on the rock to the left of the Shipwright by the harbour. You can pick it up for 8000C$, and it should pay for itself in time, so we’d suggest grabbing one if you have that sort of money to spare.
How To Use A Fish Radar
You activate the Fish Radar by equipping it into your hands from your inventory or hotbar, and hitting the M1 interaction to turn it on. It works as a toggle, so once you’ve done that you can equip rods or other items and still keep the effects. Interact with it again to turn it off. With the Fish Radar turned on, take a look at the water.
You should see striped squares marked out on the surface, with names of fish species. These indicate areas where certain kinds of fish are abundant, giving you a much better idea of where to look for particular species. The names often appear through scenery too, something that might clue you into the presence of special fishing spots you didn’t know about before.
It’s particularly helpful for species like the Ancient Depth Serpent, which only appears in specific areas for a short time.
