Fishfright has returned, and with it comes a bunch of new Fisch Fishfright Rods. Our guide goes through each and explains how to get it, the stats the rod has, and any abilities.

Fisch FishFright Rods
Let’s see what’s available.
Bat Whisperer Rod
Starting with the Bat Whisperer Rod. You can buy this for 10,000 Candy from the Flying Dutchman NPC. These are the stats:
- Lure Speed: 86%
- Luck: 96%
- Control: 0.15
- Resilience: 30%
- Max KG: 200000
This rod also has a passive ability that will summon bats to catch a fish every 30 seconds. The fish will have the Batty mutation, which increases the value by 3x.
Spooky Rod
BOO! Scared you? You can get the Spooky Rod after you put 10 of the Witch’s Ingredients in the Cauldron found in Crook’s Hollow. These are the stats:
- Lure Speed: 75%
- Luck: 66%
- Control: 0.2
- Resilience: -10%
- Max KG: 150000
As for the passives, you’re spoilt:
- Every second, there is a 50% chance to gain +4% progress speed and freeze the fish for one second.
- +5% progress speed.
- 10% chance for the Frightful mutation.
- 6x value increase.
- 10% chance for the Spooky mutation.
- 6x value increase.
- 10% chance for the Eerie mutation.
- 6x value increase.
Jack-o-Blazer Rod
You can get this rod when you complete all 5 of the Headless Horseman’s quests. For this, you need to give him a Frightful Jack-o-Lantern, x5 Wisps, a Haunted Candle, a Blazed Handle, and collect 5,000 candy.
Onto the stats!
- Lure Speed: 96%
- Luck: 66.6%
- Control: 0.16
- Resilience: 66%
- Max KG: Infinite
With the passive, you have a 20% chance to catch something that has the Wicked mutation, which increases the value by 6.6x. You also have a 2% chance for the Jack’s Curse mutation, which increases the value by 16.6x. Every second, Jack-o-Lanterns will fall and increase progress by +8%, too!
Dusekkar Rod
Obtaining this rod is easy. You can purchase it for 25,000 Candy from the Flying Dutchman NPC. I say easy, but that’s a lot of Candy…
- Lure Speed: 80%
- Luck: 166%
- Control: 0.05
- Resilience: 80%
- Max KG: 700000kg
Thanks to the passive of this rod, the progress speed will increase by 25%. You can also catch fish with the Nightmare mutation, which gives a 16x increase in value.
Necrotic Rod
This rod has a slightly different obtainment method, as you need to craft it by using the anvil in the Ancient Archives. You need the following items:
- x5 Sanguine Bone
- x2 Red Frightful Skull
- x1 Hexed Skeletal Nessie
- 660,000
These are the stats:
- Lure Speed: 82%
- Luck: 143%
- Control: 0.05
- Resilience: 66%
- Max KG: 400000kg
With the passive, the resilience increases by 10. Also, every 2 seconds when you reel in a fish, the control reduces by 10% of the current value, while the progress speed increases by 10% of the current value.
