Fisch Volcanic Geode Guide

As mentioned in the introduction, a Volcanic Geode is similar to a gachapon in that it offers numerous random rewards of varying rarity. From cracking one open, you can expect Cash, most Bait types and unique fish found only within Roslit Volcano.

This fortunately includes the Legendary and Mythic fish found here, though as expected their drop rates are lower than if you hunted for them with preferable conditions.

  • Basalt – Trash
  • Magma Tang – Uncommon
  • Ember Perch – Unusual
  • Ember Snapper – Unusual
  • Pyrogrub – Rare
  • Obsidian Salmon – Legendary
  • Obsidian Swordfish – Mythic

How To Get A Volcanic Geode

The Volcanic Geode has a few obtainment methods including:

  • Gifting – Another player might gift you their Geodes if they’re feeling generous. Currently, Fisch has no trading system so if you’re exchanging goods, make sure you trust the recipient!
  • Codes – On occasion, Codes offers Volcanic Geodes alongside other fun rewards.
  • Travelling Merchant – Assuming it’s in stock when he visits an island, Volcanic Geodes can be bought for 600C$. If in stock, you’re able to buy as many as you like until you run out of cash!
  • Magma Rod Fishing – This is the ideal method since it has the most longevity. If you complete the Orc quest assigned on a cliff edge from Roslit Volcano and exchange a Pufferfish, you’ll be given a Magma Rod. This is the only fishing rod capable of withstanding the vicious heat of Roslit Volcano allowing you to complete the Bestiary here and fish up Volcanic Geodes on occasion.
