We can’t believe they grilled the Night Event Owls. We know the event was over, but that seems pretty harsh. Still, getting plucked and roasted hasn’t stopped the owls from returning to the garden. How Do You Get The Cooked Owl?
Update: The Cooked Owl was released only to those online at the time of the Working Bees event, if you didn’t receive the pet in the event update, you can’t get it anymore outside of being given a Cooked Owl by another player.
According to an announcement on the official Grow A Garden Discord:
“Updated event, make sure to join! And don’t miss out on claiming the free Cooked Owl pet!”
The event description confirms this.
“Also, don’t forget to login for the update for the free Cooked Owl pet.”
So, if it’s anything like the previous special pets tied to events, like the Panda or the Chicken Jockey, then the Cooked Owl will only be available during or after the update itself. In the case of the Panda, it was in the first hour after the update. After this, the pet probably won’t be available ever again so, if you want the cooked owl you’d better get on that.

What Does The Cooked Owl Do?
As the pet isn’t out just yet, we’re not certain of its powers. We do know what all the other owl-type pets do, though. We have the Owl, the Night Owl, and the Blood Owl all in-game already, and they have the same power with increasing power levels.
They all increase the XP gain for other pets in the garden while they’re active, making them great for levelling other pets. This does give them excellent utility. Right now, the Blood Owl appears to be the most powerful owl-type pet, but there’s a chance the Cooked Owl will surpass it, so if you’re raising a ton of pets, then maybe stick around for the event.
