Grow A Garden Cosmetics
What Are Cosmetics?
Cosmetics are pieces of decor you can use to give your garden a more unique look. You can get pillars, fences, gates, lights, and more unusual things like frog fountains and owl statues. Some of these items are limited edition, so you can only get them for a short period of time.
How Do You Get Cosmetics?
Cosmetics come from a few sources.
- The Cosmetics Shop
- You can find this near the Gear Shop. It has a rotating stock of different regular cosmetics that you can just buy with no gacha shenanigans.
- Crates
- These are a little more complicated. You can get crates from the shop, and they’re also a common rewards for different in-game events. You have to place a crate down in your garden, then wait for the timer that appears above it to tick down. Once you’ve waited the time out, interact with the crate to open it. Then, you should get one of a bunch of possible items.
- Event Shops
- Some events, like the Bizzy Bees event, let you use event currency to but limited edition cosmetics straight from the source, which is handy if there are any you like the look of. Check in with the event NPC, though keep in mind they won’t always be in stock.
Should You Buy Cosmetics?
You don’t need to buy a single cosmetic to have the best garden your possibly can. These objects are just for decoration and don’t give any gameplay advantages.
That said, we have found some uses for them that do have gameplay-enhancing properties. For example we’ve used some of the items for make platforms that let us jump out ot tall plants to harvest them more easily.
