Grow a Garden DNA Machine Guide
The DNA machine was introduced in the Prehistoric Update. This is only available until the 12th of July, 2025.
How Does The DNA Machine Work?
In the middle of the map, you will find the Prehistoric Update. On one side is the Quest side, where you complete various quests to get rewards. Then there is the DNA Machine, with a small dinosaur sitting beside it.
The DNA Machine, also known as the Pet Mutator, is a machine that mutates any pet into dinosaur eggs. Once you insert a pet, it takes one hour for it to become mutated. They will then convert into 1-4 eggs.
However, there is a small chance that the pet you insert will turn into a dinosaur pet instead. This depends on the type of pet you hand into the machine. The rarer the pet you give, the higher the chance of getting a dinosaur pet.
Dinosaur Egg
So, what’s inside a Dinosaur Egg? Below is everything you can get, the chances, and the abilities it has.
- Raptor
- 35% hatch chance
- Clever Claws: 2.5% chance that crops get the Amber Mutation.
- Raptor Dance: Gives around a 14% increase in movement speed.
- Triceratops
- 32.5% hatch chance
- Tri-Horn: Every 3:33 minutes, this pet rams into 3 random crops and increases their growth by 33:33m. There is a 15.18% chance it does it again each time.
- Stegosaurus
- 28% hatch chance
- Prehistoric Double: Chance to duplicate harvested fruit.
- Prehistoric Harvester: Increased chance to duplicate harvested prehistoric crops.
- Pterodactyl
- 3% hatch chance
- Sky Reptile: Small chance to give the Windstruck mutation.
- Air Time: Around a 14% increase in player jump height.
- Brontosaurus
- 1% hatch chance
- Giant Incubator: Pets from eggs have a larger base weight.
- T-Rex
- 0.5% hatch chance
- Apex Predator: It occasionally eats a random mutation that your crop has, then applies it to another crop in your garden.
