First we’ll explain what it is, then how it’s acquired.
What Is The Frozen Mutation?
The Frozen Mutation is easy to spot in-game. It shows as the crop in question being encased in a block of ice. It’s not just a visual flair, though. The Frozen Mutation makes a crop extremely valuable with a 10x sale price boost, considerably more than they would be be default, and more than Wet or Chilled crops, too.

How To Get The Frozen Mutation
The Frozen Mutation is a bit different from other Mutations, in that it’s a combination of two different Mutations. Let’s explain how it appears.
- First, a crop needs to be in place on its plant or tree.
- The crop needs to acquire the Wet Mutation. There’s a change it will get this when the Rain weather event passes over the server.
- Do not pick the crop when it gets this Mutation. The crop should remain wet for an extended period of time, so just leave it in place.
- Next you must wait for the Snow weather to hit the server.
- When Snow hits, there’s a chance for normal crops to gain the Chilled Mutation.
- If a crop has the Wet Mutation, it has a chance to become Frozen instead.
- Once the Snow has passed you can gather up and sell any Frozen crops. If they didn’t freeze, you can leave them to wait for the next Snow.
