Despite getting progressively more expensive and rarer, the Gears don’t follow a linear performance progression. This Grow a Garden Gears Tier List regularly updates to follow the current meta, so you know which to invest in for your produce.

Grow a Garden Gears Tier List
Let’s get right into the rankings!
S-TIER
These Gears financially pay off and then some! If you want to rapidly increase your produce profits and uncover some unusually large and valuable crops, invest in these Gears!
- Godly Sprinkler
- Cost: 100,000$
- Cheaper than the Master Sprinkler, this version lasts half the time at 5 minutes, but still increases the size and mutations of nearby plants. You could buy 10 Godly Sprinklers (10 million cash) and probably make more profit than if you bought 1 Master Sprinkler.
- Lightning Rod
- Cost: 1,000,000$
- Redirects lighting three times before being destroyed. Placing this near high-yield plants will make them more likely to pick up the shocked mutation during a storm.
- Trowel
- Cost: 100,000$
- Allows you to move crops 5 times. This is great when re-organising your plot without unearthing all your seeds and losing them entirely.
- Harvest Tool
- Cost: 30,000,000$
- Harvest all crops from a single plant at once.
A-TIER
These Gears are decent alternatives if you can’t afford or find the S-Tiers in stock. They help grow the size of your produce and uncover valuable mutations, but aren’t as efficient as those in the top tier.
- Master Sprinkler
- Cost: 10,000,000$
- Unless you have late-game crops that are valuable even at their base value, this Sprinkler is quite expensive, considering it’s not all too different from the Godly Sprinkler.
- Honey Sprinkler
- Cost: 30 Honey
- Pretty decent for boosting the value of crops, but is easily replaceable if you get a Bee Bear.
B-TIER
Nestled into the average tier, these Gears are solid options to make a quick buck. They’re not the most powerful or fruitful (get it?), but they’re profitable!
- Chocolate Sprinkler [Easter Event Gear]
- Cost: 500,000$
- This Gear lasts for one minute and only takes effect on fully grown crops in a small radius around it, covering them in Chocolate. Chocolate does make crops more valuable, but your placement will determine profits for this one.
- Advanced Sprinkler
- Cost: 45,000$
- For 5 minutes, this sprinkler increases the mutation chance. Regardless of the fruit, all mutations are incredibly valuable, making this Sprinkler a great early-game option.
C-TIER
Whilst not entirely useless, you could safely avoid these Gears and not miss out on much. They’re not great for long-term profits, and hardly make their money back.
- Basic Sprinkler
- Cost: 20,000$
- Good early-game Sprinkler that increases crop size when harvested. The larger the crops, the more they sell for!
D-TIER
I wouldn’t recommend investing in these Gears. You’re better off waiting for Mother Nature to handle your crops than sink money into these.
- Watering Can
- Cost: 50,000$
- Speeds up plant growth. Doesn’t make plants more valuable; it simply makes the wait for fully grown produce less monotonous.
