What does the Mutation do? More importantly, how do you make it happen?
What Is The Moonlit Mutation?
The Moonlit Mutation gives any crop a dark purple color, and it emits small purple crackles. This is more important than just a pretty effect though. Moonlit crops sell for a bonus, but more importantly, you can trade them with the Wise Old Owl NPC in the center of the field. Speak to him to trade Moonlit fruit in.
- Common Rarity Crop – 1 Lunar Point
- Uncommon Rarity Crop – 2 Lunar Points
- Rare Rarity Crop – 3 Lunar Points
- Legendary Rarity Crop – 4 Lunar Points
- Mythical Rarity Crop – 5 Lunar Points
- Divine Rarity Crop – 6 Lunar Points
You will also get bonus points based on any other mutations on the Moonlit crops.
How Do You Get The Moonlit Mutation?
Moonlit Mutations hit crops during the Night event. Throughout the night, random crops in your garden will turn Moonlit, keep an eye out for them! Night events happen on the hour, and run for ten minutes. You can expect maybe three or four Moonlit crops in that time, if you have enough crops planted.
If you want to increase the number of Moonlit crops you get, the best way to do that is the Night Staff. This tool has several charges, each of which will turn an extra crop Moonlit while the Night event is happening.
