What does this item do, and, just as important, how do you get one?
What Does The Night Staff Do?
The Night Staff is an event item with a very specific purpose. It turns crops into Moonlit versions of themselves. Each staff has six charges. When you place it, it will start working as soon as the next Night event kicks off. At times during the night, the staff will expend one charge, and turn one of the plants in your garden into a Moonlit version of itself.
How Do You Get A Night Staff?
Right now, the only way to get your hands on a Night Staff is by taking part in the Wise Old Owl’s quest. Speak to the NPC on the central stand to take part. The Owl wants Moonlit fruit, and you can trade crops with the special mutation to him for Lunar Points. The rarer the fruit, the more points.
Among other things, you’ll get Night Staffs when you reach certain milestones of Lunar Points. The milestones are listed below.
- 1 Night Staff – 40 Lunar Points
- 1 Night Staff – 110 Lunar Points
- 1 Night Staff – 250 Lunar Points
- 2 Night Staffs – 360 Lunar Points
This means enough power for thirty extra Moonlit crops in all. Depending on the crops caught in its power, that is a lot of extra Lunar Points, so make the most of these while the event is live.
