A new update is nearly here, and it’s promising more Prehistoric content, but huge changes to the pet mechanics. So what awaits up in the Grow a Garden pet mutation update?

Grow A Garden Pet Mutation Update – What Should You Expect?
What We Know So Far
The first thing we need to check out to see what’s in the new update, is the official sources. According to the event text:
“Pet mutations are here! Upgrade your pets for new variants, buffed stats, & even unique abilities. The Prehistoric event expands with an upgradable Dino Machine, new quests, & new crafting recipes while also introducing all new seeds, pets, epic admin weather and lots more…”
We heard a bit more about the Pet Mutations in an earlier post, according to lead developer Jandel:
“this weekend we are going to introduce a new feature to the game Pet Mutations.
This is a machine you can put your level 100 pet into and get unique mutations, with passives, buffs and cosmetics… and don’t worry before you ask, we are ADDING craftable and buyable (gear shop) xp boosts so that you can get your pet to level 100.”
What We Expect
There are a few other things we suspect to see in the update. (These are all speculations on our part, so take them with a pinch of salt.)
- More Prehistoric content, but perhaps a reward reset or new prize.
- The Bone Blossom was a referred to as a ‘weekly prize’, so if you want a Bone Blossom we’d suggest completing all the questline before Saturday, just in case you miss your chance.
- Head over to the game before the update for a chance to glimpse the new admin events.
- They usually show up around this time.
