Grow a Garden Red Fox Obtainment and Stats
The Red Fox hails from the Mythical Egg with a 1.79% hatch chance, making it the rarest of this egg tier. Mythical Eggs cost 8,000,000 $ to acquire, and have a slim 7% chance to appear in egg restocks, which happen every half-hour.
When placed in a garden, the Red Fox will travel to another player’s garden every 10 minutes on average and attempt to steal a seed. This may seem overpowered to players (like myself) who missed out on the Candy Blossom, but unfortunately, the Red Fox won’t swipe event seeds…
There’s also no guarantee that the Fox will return with a seed at all, since it works from RNG. This means you may get on average 6 seeds an hour, none, or something in between.
Is The Red Fox Better than the Raccoon?
Both pets have similar tricks, but aren’t entirely comparable. The Raccoon travels to another player’s garden every 15 minutes and duplicates a crop (instead of a seed). The Raccoon can grab Event crops, and their thievery isn’t RNG-based like the Fox.
So, unfortunately, the Red Fox isn’t better than the Raccoon. But, it’s still a very helpful companion to have roaming around your garden if you don’t have a Raccoon.
