This eggcellent Grow a Garden Summer Eggs guide is hot, but not fried! Okay, puns aside, here I tell you the several ways to obtain both new egg types and introduce you to the pets inside, including their hatch chance and skills.

How to Obtain the Grow a Garden Summer Eggs
Both the Common and Rare Summer Eggs have the chance to appear in the pet restock, which happens every 30 minutes at XX:00 and XX:30. The Common Summer Egg costs 1,000,000 Sheckles to obtain, and the Rare Summer Egg costs 25,000,000 Sheckles.
Alternatively, you may get lucky enough to get a Rare Summer Egg from the Summer Harvest event, which takes place every hour on the hour. By handing in Summer fruits to the NPC, you and your servermates will accumulate points which correspond to a reward tier.
For a chance to get the Rare Summer Egg, you need to have a minimum of 1,400 Points gained per event cycle. When the event ends after 10 minutes, you’ll receive several random rewards. This means the egg isn’t guaranteed, even if you reach 1.4k+ points.
Common Summer Egg
Once placed, the Common Summer Egg takes 20 minutes to hatch.
- Starfish
- 50% Hatch chance
- The Starfish gains additional EXP per second.
- Seagull
- 25% Hatch chance
- When shovelling plants, this pet has the chance to scavenge a seed of the same type. However, this skill does not apply to fruits.
- Crab
- 25% Hatch chance
- This pet sometimes travels to another garden and pinches other players, stealing some Sheckles and giving them to its owner.
Rare Summer Egg
Once placed, the Rare Summer Egg takes 4 hours to hatch.
- Flamingo
- 30% Hatch chance
- Every 4 minutes, this pet stands on one leg for 15 seconds, causing all nearby plants within 13 studs to grow 15x faster.
- Toucan
- 25% Hatch chance
- All nearby Tropical plants have an increased variant chance and will grow bigger.
- Sea Turtle
- 20% Hatch chance
- Occasionally mutates nearby plants with Wet.
- This pet has the chance to share wisdom with other pets, granting them bonus EXP.
- Orangutan
- 15% Hatch chance
- When crafting, each material has a chance not to be consumed.
- Seal
- 10% Hatch chance
- When selling a pet, the Seal has a 2% chance (roughly) to reproduce the pet as its egg equivalent.
