Grow A Garden Tornado Guide

What Is Tornado?

Tornado is a weather event that happens in-game, and it’s hard to miss. Large white vortexes of air will start to appear and disappear across the map, moving around the area before despawning and emerging in another location. The Tornado generally lasts for a few minutes.

Don’t mistake this for Windy, another similar event, but that just has stronger winds, no big vortexes appear in Windy, but they will in Tornado.

What Does Tornado Do?

The spinning vortexes of the Tornado Event don’t just look cool. They have a chance of giving plants around them the Twisted Mutation, this gives a x5 boost to the value of the crop. It’s more than twice that of weather effects like the Chilled and Wet Mutation, so, unlike in real life, it’s good news to see a tornado heading toward your garden… that means Twisted crops and more sale value!

How Does Tornado Happen?

Unlike many of the new events, the Tornado event isn’t limited to admin-only triggering. Tornadoes will just happen at random, so there’s a chance to see one at almost any time you’re playing the game. This is handy as it means it’s not usually restricted to times around the update. All you need to do is play the game normally, and you should see one eventually.
