How to get the Grow a Garden Firefly
The Firefly is a Mythical rarity pet with no spawn egg. This secret pet was only available to the elite few who joined the Grow a Garden Testing Servers during the experimental phases of the game.
This means it isn’t currently obtainable, and those who have this pet are among the lucky few. Likewise, this isn’t an admin-exclusive pet, unlike some weathers.
Don’t lose all hope, however, as the humble Firefly may become a recurring reward to players who participate in stress testing before new events and large updates. Or, maybe it’s truly gone forever… We won’t know unless the DEVs request the aid of players again.
Chances are, the Firefly will never return. But, during new tests, a new reward may roll out. Potentially a secret seed, pet, cosmetic, or gear!
What Does The Firefly Do?
Every 80 seconds, the Firefly has a slim 3% chance to apply the Shocked (x100 value) mutation to nearby crops. If not for its 3% chance, this would make the Firefly very overpowered since Thunderstorms are an irregular event in Grow a Garden, and Shocked is one of the most highly valued naturally occurring mutations (excluding Admin Weathers).
But, fortunately, you’re not missing out on much, aside from bragging rights about having one of the most exclusive pets in the game… If it makes you feel any better, I don’t have one either, I poorly edited one into the feature image of this article.
