How To Get The Untitled Tag Game Halloween Spotlight Rune And Key
Getting Started
The first thing you need to do is trigger the event. You can do this by jumping into Untitled Tag Game and hitting U (or tapping the icon if your controls are set like that) to open the event window. It should resemble a black window with a button marked ‘accept’ hit it, and begin.
You’ll meet an unsettling entity, then be thrown into the world, where you’ll meet some allies, Garfield and Doc… who might be a little familiar to event regulars.
You’ll have a short tutorial segment.
Then things go sideways pretty fast.
Time to get to work.
Rune

You’ll spawn in a sewer. You need to navigate through the tunnels here to reach the Rune.
You must maneuver carefully around the guards. They have set patterns, but they will move towards you if they hear you. You can avoid being heard by crouching with C. Stay out of the torchlight to avoid detection.
Move through the tunnels. You will need to find the route forward and test your platforming skills.
Ledges you can grab on to are colored yellow. This should help you know where to go.
After a second sneaking segment, you will come to a tower that you need to climb the inside of. Once you get to the top, you should see the Rune.
Something a bit strange about it though…
You will be transported to a new area and get a new skill. Hold Shift to sprint and run off the ramp. The collision is a bit buggy here, and sometimes you will just fall and die, but you can try as many times as you want. In theory, you should be able to hit the light, which will send you back to the other world, with a new skill, and a Rune!
Getting The Key
The City
You should get dropped outside in the city. Now you need to scale the skyscraper at the end to advance. This is a more challenging parkour segment, though the core gameplay is the same. Look around for yellow handholds.
If you happen to see little wisps of shadow on the floor. These are signals that you need to use your new Sprint ability. Use this to launch yourself over wide gaps.
Another major change is cranes. Jump onto the rope to swing around from it. The physics is pretty wild here, try to avoid getting thrown out too far.
Once you reach the top of the tower, you should see an object with more of the shadowy static. Interact with it to get flung into the next section.
The Hospital
The final segment sees you wake up in a building infested with guards. The Key is down in the Courtyard. You just need to get past the guards.
In this part, you may need to rely more on takedowns. This is where you hit M1 near a guard, when the outline around them turns red. This will let you knock the guard out.
Also, keep in mind that failing and resetting can change guard patron patterns, which can be helpful or a massive pain.
