How To Get The Epic Minigames Rune and Key
Epic Minigames Rune
As with all games participating in the Halloween Showcase, the Rune is far simpler to unlock than the Key.
To begin the Rune quest, speak with the Steve NPC in the lobby. He’s a green goblin found standing next to a cauldron.
Steve will request you return with x1 Spooky Recipe, which has a chance to randomly spawn around the maps of any minigame.
After retrieving the Recipe, you need to find the ingredients. There are three total, and they appear in certain minigames such as Survival of Luck, Team Minigames, and Racing Minigames.
Finally, place all ingredients into the cauldron to complete the Rune Badge. There is an order in which you must place them, but it’s different for everyone, so keep trying until it works.
Epic Minigames Key
After completing the Rune Quest, speak to Steve again to begin the Key Questline. Steve will ask you to assist three monsters in the lobby and complete their quests.
- Werewolf Quest
- Buy and equip the Soul Lantern from the store (100 Coins). Speak to the Werewolf again.
- Use Soul Lantern near x5 Ghosts to collect their Candies (spawn around Games and the Lobby).
- Speak to the Werewolf when finished.
- Mr Monster Quest (Frankenstein’s Monster)
- Find the Trafigurator during a minigame. It spawns in most minigames where you’re able to walk around. Speak with Mr Monster again to get the next quest.
- Use the Trafigurator to break x3 Crystals, which appear in the mingames you walk around in.
- Collect the candies dropped by the crystals. (Appear as candy buckets trapped in a dark, transparent crystal).
- Count Tenance Quest
- Find and collect three Spider Eggs from around the lobby.
- Inside the Coin Obby room.
- Behind the Pro Server and Large Server signs.
- Left of the leaderboard building, behind the tree next to the water tunnel.
- Use the Minigame Chooser Ticket you get from Count Tenance to pick the Monster Melee Minigame. You need to win this to complete the challenge.
- Speak to Count Tenance again to finalise the quest.
- Find and collect three Spider Eggs from around the lobby.
After this, return to Steve, and he will give you an in-game reward and your final quest, where he asks you to put 50 Candies in the Cauldron. You should have enough already from the monster quests, so once this is done, you’ll earn the Key Badge.
