How To Trade In Fisch
Trading in Fisch is a little different compared to other games. I’ll talk you through everything you need to know!
Completing A Bestiary
Many players want to trade to fill out their bestiary, but this doesn’t count! Only fish you have caught will count towards a complete bestiary. If someone gives you a fish that you do not have, it will come up with their username in your bestiary, and you still have to catch it yourself.
The good thing is, you can trade things other than fish! Many players trade items such as Depths Keys and Enchant Relics, treating them like currency.
How Can You Trade?
First things first, you’ll need to find someone to trade with. If you’re looking for a specific item (or fish), you can ask friends or people on your server. However, there is also an official trading Discord server! You can use this to ask if there is anyone who has the item you would like, and if they’re willing to trade. More often than not, you’ll need to trade something of equal value.
Once you have found someone, hold out the item you want to trade and hover near the player. An option to ‘offer the item’ will appear on your screen. Hold down R (or hold down on the screen if playing on a touchscreen) to pass it over. Keep in mind that this is one-sided! Make sure you trust the person you are trading with. Remember, this isn’t an official ‘trade’, so you have to trust them completely. Sadly, there are people who don’t have your best interest in mind, and if you get scammed, nothing can be done about it. Always think before trading!
If you are on the receiving end, you will have the option to ‘Accept’ or ‘Decline’. If you decline, you will not get the item. However, if you accept, the item will appear in your inventory.
