Roadside Shawarma Walkthrough
We start with the basics, then run over each night in turn.
The Basics
In Roadside Shawarma, you have just taken a job at a shawarma stand on a lonely road, and you’re working the night shift. Your job is to prepare and hand off food and drinks to your hungry customers, while following the rules. What are the rules? Well, they change every night. What happens if you break the rules? You don’t want to find out!
The process of making and serving shawarma is simple enough:
- A customer will appear at the window at the front of the stand.
- Their order will appear on the board to the left of the window.
- To make a shawarma, collect a lavash wrap from the pile next to the stove, and place it on the work station next to the ingredient boxes.
- Go to the meat and collect some from the bottom. (All shawarma we’ve seen have chicken in.) Carry it to the wrap.
- If other ingredients are needed, get them from the ingredients station and place them like you did the chicken.
- Once you have the right ingredients, hit E to wrap the shawarma.
- Pick up the food and take it over to the window to hand to your customer.
- To get drinks, open the refrigerator to the left of the front window and just take them out of the box.
- If any of the ingredients in the ingredients station run out, you can get them from the store room.
Each shift, your supervisor will call you and give you the rules for the day. They will change. We’ve detailed them below anyway as a reminder.
Night One
Rules
- If the power goes out, go outside to the box and fix the power.
- A stranger will appear. Give him a Bloxy Cola.
Night One is pretty straightforward. Fulfil your orders and fill up the ingredients if they run down. At some point, a man with a weird, melted-looking face will show up, and there will be no order on the board. This is the man mentioned in the rules. Give him a Bloxy Cola.
Night Two
Rules
- Siblings will arrive, one after another. The second’s sibling’s order will be the same as the first.
- Something strange may happen with the Meat Trompo. If this happen, leave and go out back. You can come back when the light come back on.
Changes
On Night Two, things get a tiny bit more complicated, but not by much. Tomato is added to the ingredients. You will also need to go out back if the meat starts moving and groaning. Power outages can still happen, so be ready to potentially fix the fuse box again.
The Trash Bag Man
At some point during the night, a spirit will appear at your window, and hand you a poster. This has the picture of a man, the detail that he’s holding a trash bag, and a number to call. Pick it up and the poster will appear next to the phone.
The man will appear at some point during the night. You’ll know because he’ll make some remark about the trash bag. When that happens, don’t fulfil his order, go to the back and call the number.
The Siblings
As mentioned in the rules, some siblings will show up. You’ll know the first when you see it, as he has one of the weird distorted faces like the man from the first night. Make a note of his order before you finish it. His sibling should appear just after, give him the same order, then you’re done with them.
Night Three
Rules
- If the lights go out, hide under the center table and close your eyes.
- If you hear dripping, do not look up.
Changes
Night Three gets a lot more complicated with the orders. You’ll have a lot more ingredients at the station to juggle, as well as two new drinks, Ayran and Iced Coffee. The general idea is the same. Fill out orders and restock ingredients from the store room.
As the rules say, if the lights go out this time, rather than going to the box out back, your should interact with the central table to hide underneath, then hold Space to keep your eyes closed. You can open them when you hear the power flip back on.
If you see black drips falling down your screen, ignore them and don’t look up, they will go away.
The Hooded Figure
At some point, a figure in a hooded robe and an animal mask will appear and as for ‘Meat’. Make them a shwarma with just chicken on it and had that over. They’ll give you a warning and then leave.
The Bandaged Lady
At some point in the night a woman with her eyes covered in bandages, using crutches will appear saying she wants to try normal food for the first time. Make her some shawarma with everything on it and had it over to her, she’ll be very grateful.
The End?
Eventually, your shift should end, and the phone will ring. Your supervisor congratulates you on completing three days, you completed Roadside Shwarma! …but there’s a catch. Of course, there’s a catch. You might have noticed there’s no exit door.
