If you’ve been hopping into Roblox’s The Games hub in the past few days, you might notice something… isn’t quite right. There’s a weird green rock and portal, streaked with binary code. If you’ve been to other events, you might think that feels very familiar. Roblox The Games sees 1x1x1x1 make his return.

Who is 1x1x1x1?
1x1x1x1 isn’t really a who, not the real one anyway. According to the Roblox Wiki, 1x1x1x1 was a test account created by developer Shedletsky. While the account itself never got into anything untoward, Shedletsky’s characterization of 1x1x1x1 as evil created all sorts of rumors on the platform that the account belonged to an infamous hacker.
This only grew the made-up villain’s infamy, and he’s had a whole new outlet with Roblox’s new events. 1x1x1x1 appeared as a boss in The Classic, though the result was… a little underwhelming. You didn’t get anything for beating him, for one. This time he’s back, and making up for it with a bunch of prizes.
How To Fight 1x1x1x1
Head into the rock doorway in the outcrop and wait for the timer to count down. It will teleport you to the Banlands.
Head down to the big arena. If a boss fight is already raging then you’ll need to wait until it resets and a path opens to let you cross into the ring.
When the boss fight begins, 1x1x1x1 rises from the digital void, wielding his mighty banhammer. He has a number of attacks he’ll throw at you. You need to keep an eye on your health. If you die in the fight you lose out on the prize chance.
- Raining purple meteors onto the arena. Areas about to get his should mark beforehand.
- Collapse areas of the arena.
- Summon twisters that roam around the arena. These do a LOT of damage on hit.
- Striking the center of the arena with the Banhammer.
You’re not defenseless though! You can rain damage on the dastardly hacker in a few ways.
- Weapons – You get two new weapons aside from the items you’ve unlocked with Shines. A block launcher and a dodge ball. Hit 1x1x1x1 with these for damage when he’s stunned or not blocking.
- Orbs – You may see white orbs floating around the arena. Don’t avoid them! Running into one fires it back at 1x1x1x1 for decent damage. You can use the Speed Coil if you have it to hit the orbs quicker.
Boss Prizes
If you deplete 1x1x1x1’s health completely, the hacker will fade and disappear from the Banlands. You are victorious! At least until he respawns anyway. If you survived to the end, head to the center of the arena and interact with the item to claim your prize, the Glitch Hacker Laurel.
