Let’s get into it.
How To Get To The Boss
To unlock the boss, in theory you need to find all of the Skull Fragments hidden around Axbury Manor. They are in the area of each challenge, aside from the last one, found in the hidden cellar.
When all the Skull Fragments are in place, you can access the boss fight. Though we’ve heard reports of players being able to access the fight without collecting all of them, so if it’s open for you feel free to head on in.
The Boss Fight
So you’ve reached the boss. It’s time to face off against Horatio Axbury himself, and fitting for an event focused on a costume contest, you will need to fight him… with fashion. Seriously? Seriously. Let’s go over it.
- Enter the boss area and follow the path up a hill, through a house, and down a set of floating rocks to the arena.
- If a fight is going on, you will need to wait until it’s over to join in. The barriers will drop in the intermission between fights, giving you time to hop in. Take note of the four trunks around the arena.
- When the fight begins, Horatio Axbury, the Headless Horseman, will appear, and four mannequins will pop up from the ground. You can’t attack the Horseman directly, the mannequins are your key to victory.
- To damage the boss, you need to dress the mannequins.
- Interact with the trunks to get an item of clothing, interact with a mannequin while holding an item of clothing to put it on a mannequin.
- You can’t just put any clothing on and mannequin though. They need matching outfits. If you put clothing that doesn’t match on, the mannequin will throw it off again.
- Try to match the right clothes onto the mannequins while avoiding Horatio’s attacks, which might make you drop what you’re holding.. or turn into a pumpkin.
- When his health bar is gone, you’re done and the prize is yours!
Complete the fight, and your should receive your prize, the Evil Pumpkin and Friendly Skull accessory.
