Starting The Round
Red Light Green Light is the first round of Shrimp Game. That is, you’ll go there as soon as the game starts and the lobby countdown ends. If you want to make any alliances with other players, take the time in the lobby to do it! After that, you can opt to skip the cutscene if enough players vote to do so, then it’s off to Red Light Green Light.
How To Play
Even if you’ve never watched Squid Game you’ve ever played Red Light Green Light, Statues, or Grandma’s Footsteps, you should get some idea of how this game plays out. You spawn in at one end of a big outdoor area. You need to get to the other end before the time runs out.
Your major obstacle is the big robot girl at the other end. When she calls ‘Green Light!’ then it’s time for you to move forward as quickly as possible towards the finish line at the other end.
The moment she calls ‘Red Light!’ you MUST stop moving. Right that second. Move after the call, and that’s it for you. You must stay still until she calls ‘Green Light!’ again. Reach the end before time runs out to complete the round.
Red Light Green Light Tips
There are a few others things to keep in mind while you play, we’ll cover those here.
- Pushing And Being Pushed – If you have prize money from previous rounds, you can buy the Push item. This lets you push another player in Red Light Green Light. Getting pushed causes you to fall over and end up in a sitting position, potentially ruining your run. To avoid someone using it on you, try to keep your distance from other players. Remember, fewer players surviving the round means they have less competition later, so don’t be too quick to trust anyone.
- You can run! – You can run faster with the Run button (default SHIFT on a keyboard) to cover ground faster, you might need this. Just be aware it has momentum so you need to stop fast.
