Tales of Tanorio Gym 2 Guide – Best Team To Defeat Dylan!

The image shows my avatar and her chewaqua along route 1 of the game during nightfall. The background is mainly green trees and shrubs with a few rockpiles

Preparing to face the Gym 2 leader and unsure how best to prepare? My Tales of Tanoiro Gym 2 guide has you covered. Here I tell you all about your opponent from location, team and the best counter Tanorians to win.

Battling in Gyms is a key element in any catch-’em-all game, with Tales of Tanorio faring no different. Gym badges are a symbol of your progression, so you’ll want to defeat the Gyms to reach new areas with more powerful Tanorians.

Don’t forget to check out Tales of Tanoio over on Roblox. I also made a Tales Of Tanorio Gym 1 guide if you’re getting ahead of yourself here! I also made a guide covering Tales Of Tanorio Weathers.

Tales of Tanorio Gym 2

Now, despite being referred to as a gym, within Tales of Tanorio the Gyms are known as Stadiums. For the clarity of this guide, I will continue to refer to them as Gyms. Dylan’s Gym is located within Everlush Town. He’s hard to miss if you’re worried about locating him, he stands outside the stadium and will introduce himself during a cutscene upon interaction. Oh, and he is wearing a chef’s hat.

Dylan’s Team – Grass Types

Upon defeating Dylan you are awarded the Sprout Medal, but before that, you have to eradicate his team of grass-type Tanorians. Dylan has 4 Tanorians to compete against your team which are the following:

  • Sungadem – Grass-type with a 2x weakness to Fire, Air, Bug, Ice and Poison
  • Citrene – Grass-type with a 2x weakness to Fire, Air, Bug, Ice and Poison
  • Rutabash – Dual Grass and Earth-type with a 2x weakness to Fire, Air, Bug and Cosmic as well as a 4x weakness to Ice
  • Doopybara – Dual Normal and Grass-type with a 2x weakness to Fire, Air, Bug, Ice, Fighting and Poison

Best Counter Team

Since Dylan has an affiliation with Grass types, your most potent attackers will be those who host Fire, Air and Ice moves primarily. Some choices for your ideal team could be the following:

  • Charcile [FIRE] – Only available if chosen as your starting Tanorian. Enjoys up to two evolutions for even stronger attacks!
  • Bombeetle [FIRE] – Found in Route 3, has a host of fire attacks
  • Ballisect [FIRE] – The stronger evolution of Bombeetle
  • Eyaspire [AIR] – Found on Route 1
  • Hawkadet [AIR] – Evolution of Eyaspire and offers stronger attacks

Your best team should have one or two of these Tanorians amongst a backup crew to deal minor damage between Tanorian swaps.
