Ultimate Sorcerer Ascent Tier List Guide
So, let’s get onto the tiers themselves. There’s two of them so far.
Clan Tier List
So first we’re ranking the different clans, your second name in-game.
S Tier
The best ones right now.
- Itadori – The best for Physical-based builds by a mile, with boosts to Black Flash too.
- Choso – The Itadori counterpart for a Cursed Energy Focus. Unrivalled in terms of technique damage.
A Tier
High tier clans with excellent buffs… just outshone by a few.
- Kamo – A good boost to CE and CE damage. Very solid if you’re using Cursed Energy at all.
- Inumaki – The Health boost is pretty mid, but the extra damage and 20% more Cursed Energy does come in handy.
- Nanami – This is another more Physical-centred clan, though does come with a decent Health boost.
- Tsukumo – Kind of an inferior version of Kamo, but not terrible.
B Tier
Okay. Good to have around but nothing very special.
- Todo – Extra health and a bit of extra physical damage. If you want to lean into physical then it might be pretty useful.
- Kusakabe – A small boost to Health and CE, though nothing to write home about.
- Kugisaki – Boosts Cursed Energy and Cursed Energy damage. (Once again Nobara not respected smh.)
C Tier
Minor buffs. Nothing crazy. Better than nothing, though.
- Nitta– A Cursed Energy damage buff is helpful, if pretty small.
- Ino – More Cursed Energy. Good to have though you might not really notice the difference.
D Tier
Common Clans. None of these give you any buffs at all. 🙁
- Amai
- Muta
- Muwa
- Nishimiya

A tier list is a game guide that ranks different things in the game based on how powerful they are. This can be down to opinion though.
A clan is a family line in-game, shown through your player character’s last name. You cans get special buffs for your clan, and importantly you can reroll to get a new clan if you want to.

Cursed Techniques are the main kind of abilities in JJK and Sorcerer Ascent. They have a moveset specific to them with different abilities.
If you want to reroll your cursed technique, keep in mind that this will reset your mastery and you’ll only be left with low level abilities. Don’t assume you’ll get the high level powers just because you were grinding another technique. (This can mean that it’s sometimes easier in the short term to stick to a less powerful technique you have high mastery of than switch out.)
