What To Do About The Grow A Garden Bee Swarm Not Triggering

Update: The Bee event is over, and so Bee Swarms no longer happen in-game. The content in this guide is now only for archival purposes.

What Is The Bee Swarm?

The Bee Swarm is an hourly event that takes place on the hour exactly. Bees pour out of the hive in the event area, and fly over to the gardens, giving fruits the Pollinated mutation. Random fruits will become Pollinated while the event runs.

Reasons A Bee Swarm Might Not Trigger

Now, while the Swarm is great and all, if you want to make honey, what happens if it just doesn’t work? We’ll run over the different possible reasons your bees might have stayed in bed so you can avoid it in the future.

You Jumped In After The Hour Mark

You have to be on time for the bees, apparently. They’re very picky. If you jump into a server after the hour turns over, then you don’t get the swarm. If you want to catch it, it’s always best to arrive a few minutes before just to be sure.

The Server Is Old

When the update first came out, Bee Swarms weren’t triggering properly on public servers. A minor fix was brought out since then that should help with it. If the Bee Swarm isn’t working for you, it’s possible that you’re still on an out-of-date server. Try another server, or even better, use one of the free private servers to be sure.
