Bait are items that you can use alongside your fishing rod to increase the likelihood of catching fish. Different bait types may boost your stats in certain ways. Fish species may sometimes also have a preference for certain bait types, so you can increase your chances of getting a particular fish by using its favoured bait.

Places To Buy Bait Crates
Bait is usually got from Bait Crates. These are boxes you can buy that give you some assorted bait on use. There are also Quality Bait Crates, which are an upgraded, and more expensive version. Here are some of the places to get Bait Crates.
Moosewood
Bait Crates are for sale by the dock, to the far left of the Shipwright, next to the sleeping NPC.
Roslit Bay
Bait Crates are next to the Merchant stall, on the left.
Terrapin Island
Quality Bait Crates for sale in the harbour area, to the left of the top of the stairway, near the Jack NPC.
Other Sources Of Bait
You can also potentially get certain kinds of bait by fishing, or from inside Volcanic Geodes, or Coral Geodes.
