Weeks after dropping the first trailer for its mobile release, 9th Dawn Remake is now actually out on Android. This remake brings back an old-school dungeon crawler RPG with a massive world to explore.
A Re-Release with Tons of New Content and Features
The new version is a rebuild of the original 9th Dawn from 2012 by Valorware with new content, bigger dungeons, and a bunch of extras.
The story kicks off with the mysterious disappearance of a lighthouse keeper. It turns into a darker tale involving an evil force spreading across Montelorne.
You’ll eventually face off against the Castle of Maltyr, which is home to some of the continent’s nastiest monsters. Along the way, you’ll gear up, level up, and raise monster pets from eggs to fight by your side.
There’s a lot of loot to collect in the game. You collect gear and fill out your journal for rewards while exploring the 45+ handcrafted dungeons.
In the 9th Dawn Remake Mobile, you can design your own build, unlock spells and distribute attribute points. There’s also a full system to forge weapons, brew potions, and upgrade gear.
There are tons of minigames, too, like a deep deck-building card game and a fishing mode where you command worm-warriors in battle. There are side quests like helping out the villagers around Montelorne which unlock rare items and boost the region’s prosperity.

There’s a free demo available if you want to try it out first. You need Google Play Games if you want achievements, cloud saves and play online.
In multiplayer mode, you can play with one other player using a private room code. in local co-op, just know you’ll need a separate controller for that setup. Meanwhile, single player works offline as well.
