Published by Vizta Games, Acecraft: Sky Hero is launching on Android. The mobile shoot ’em up brings a retro vibe and roguelike features. The best part is the Tom and Jerry crossover that kicks off right at launch!
What do you do in Acecraft: Sky Hero?
As pilots, you’ll be dodging dense bullet storms while absorbing pink projectiles, turning enemy fire into their own weapons. Along the way, you’ll be piecing together combinations of random skills to face off against the Nightmare Legion.
There are over 100 different stages scattered across the mystical floating islands of Cloudia. You play as Ekko, arriving at the mysterious island to defeat the devil.
The visuals are a cartoon-inspired rubberhose art style. They exude a 30’s cartoon show vibe, or more precisely, Max Fleischer’s animation style as seen in Popeye and Betty Boop. Catch a glimpse of the game here.
Does it remind you of…?
Looking at the visuals, I know what you’re thinking. The game looks a lot like Cuphead. On the other hand, the gameplay might remind you of Dragon POW! But nonetheless, Acecraft: Sky Hero has its own merits.
Take the 2-Player Survival Challenge, for instance. The game will reward the first team in the world to clear it with special prizes. The game’s co-op mode lets players team up, find treasure chests, and clear high-difficulty missions together.
Meanwhile, Tom and Jerry are entering the skies as limited-time recruits. At launch, you’ll find a Cheese Festival event in the Fest Shop. It lets you trade event currency for themed rewards.
The launch celebration adds more exciting events. Cloudia Aces 100 brings a community-wide challenge where every 100 players are grouped together to unlock chapter stages. Rewards here include rare avatar frames.
There are also a 7-Day Login and a 7-Day Carnival campaign. These will hand out A-tier pilots, recruit tickets, and an epic signature wingman for completing missions.
