Sparklite has been kicking about on our list of the most exciting pre-registration games for a while, but it’s not going to survive the next update. That’s because the action adventure roguelite is out right now on the Play Store.
The game is a top-down hacky-slasher with some really interesting twists. You need to use innovative invention skills to create your equipment, then set off to explore a procedurally generated world.
There’s a big cast of characters to meet along the way, and massive titans of the mining industry – or bosses – to take down. Let’s have a looky-loo at a trailer, shall we?
Looks pretty darn awesome to us, and our eyes definitely work. You can’t beat a good pixel-art aesthetic, and the game complements it with an awesome soundtrack and some also-awesome gameplay.
The game is compatible with most Bluetooth controllers, and the interface has been revamped for touchscreen devices too. It’s got cloud save so you can swap between Android devices if you’d like.
