WFS and Square Enix are teaming up for a new collaboration, Another Eden: The Cat Beyond Time and Space x Final Fantasy IX, the 2000 JRPG. The event is called Memories of Another Sky crossover and begins on December 3rd, 2025.
What’s in store in the Another Eden: The Cat Beyond Time and Space x Final Fantasy IX collab?
The roster opens up to Zidane, Vivi, Garnet, and Steiner. The update lets you slot Magic Stones to trigger distinct abilities and scratch around for hidden loot. You get to ride a chocobo in Chocobo Hot and Cold and spot Active Time Events as they unfold across the map.
As for the setup of the crossover, you’ll see Another Eden protagonist Aldo step into an unfamiliar territory. It happens after he tumbles through a spacetime rift and wakes beneath the skies of Alexandria.
Before he has much time to regain his bearings, Zidane and the Tantalus Theater Troupe pull him into their orbit. Worse (or better), they even draft him into their next theatrical performance for Princess Garnet’s birthday!

The collab is all about exploration
The chocobo guidance can point you toward buried treasure or stone slabs etched with unusual artwork in Chocobo Hot and Cold. Moogles are there, too, with Mognet delivery tasks offering a side activity for you.
To mark the rollout of the collab, WFS is distributing up to 2,000 Chronos Stones throughout the event. Finishing Memories of Another Sky nets 1,000 Chronos Stones outright. And logging in during each day of the 20-day event earns up to another 1,000. The countdown runs through December 23rd, 2025.
