Asobimo finally releases Toram Online onto Google Play after a very long beta

It may not be that long of a beta, but it sure feels like Toram Online has been in a beta status for awhile. However, it looks like it is about to drop those beta tags as Asobimo went ahead and released it onto Google Play today in a non-beta format. This means that the majority of the game has been translated into English and almost everyone should be able to download and play it now.

For those of you who missed our previous coverage, Toram Online is an MMORPG that has been in development for quite some time. As the story goes in this game: Hundreds of years ago the ground was split by the cataclysm all of a sudden. The gods hastily joined the grounds, however, the world looks like awkwardly patched. Since the nations were destroyed, people are divided into four groups regardless of race. You will meet various people in this world, experience numerous adventures, and face the mysterious existences underworld.

Toram Online isn’t one of those collectible MMORPGs that seems to be a trend to make right now. Instead it is a more traditional MMORPG, with plenty of quests to complete, zones to explore, and other players to play with. You can customize your character quite a lot, leveling them up as you progress through the game and gaining new skills and gears. In terms of cosmetic customization, Asobimo is stating that there is over 50 billion different dress combinations available…. that is a lot of outfits and different looks.

You will be able to play this on your own, but there are plenty of monsters that will require players to team up if they plan to beat them. This is mainly regarding dungeons and bosses of course. You can play your character how you see fit since the skill system has more of an open style to it. This means there isn’t a class system. Players essentially make their own classes based on how they develop their character.

This game is available for download off of Google Play for free. There are optional IAPs available as well, but are certainly not required. Since this is fresh out of a beta testing phase, you may encounter the odd bug or broken English translation, but that should be cleared up pretty quick.

Thanks to Michael B. for the heads up!
