Besiege, the hit PC popular physics building game, has launched on mobile today. Published by Playdigious and developed by Spiderling Studios, the game first released on PC in February 2020. Prior to that, it was in early access for five years.
It later launched for Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S in February 2022 and PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and Switch in December 2024. The game also picked up an expansion announcement in April 2024 with The Splintered Sea.
Besiege brings medieval siege engines
The game comes with all the subtlety of a wayward rocket strapped to a wooden cart! It lets you bolt together tanks, planes, helicopters, sports cars, catapults, rockets, or giant mechs from a pool of more than 70 blocks.
Besiege is less about pristine engineering and more about the joy of watching your inventions either perform flawlessly or fly apart in the most dramatic way possible. Its physics system heavily rewards experimentation.
There’s a single-player campaign with 55 destructible levels. They are spread across four island nations, which have civilisations that never quite see your latest mechanical disaster coming.
Tons of player-made machines are also available to download. Modders have also shaped the game’s identity through hundreds of mods, custom levels and skin packs. You get level editing tools as well.
It’s now out on Android!
The mobile version comes with Google Play Games achievements, cloud saves for progress between Android devices and controller support. It offers a free-to-try option, allowing you to play a portion of the game. You can unlock the full game for $7.99.
If you have the impulse to fuse creativity with controlled destruction, check the game out on the Google Play Store.
