Hit PC title BlazBlue: Entropy Effect has landed on mobile. A 2D roguelite action developed by 91Act, the game has a lot to offer. It was the first BlazBlue on PC, while on mobile, 91Act has a previous title called BlazBlue RR – Real Action Game.
It’s an Entropy Effect with BlazBlue
The game is set in a bleak, dystopian future inside the virtual world of ACE. It’s a full-body VR, that turns people into digital robot avatars. Everyone also goes through a MIND training in this world. But you, the protagonist, have a strange reaction to it and start an unusual journey.
The story takes place in a BlazBlue-adjacent universe. You don’t need to be familiar with the mainline series to follow what’s going on, since this spin-off takes a new narrative route.
The gameplay is side-scrolling and roguelite action with a focus on combo evolution and fast-paced fluid combat. It’s a full cyber mystery where some of the people even hack into the system to help you, the protagonist.

What about the characters?
You get to pick from 14 different characters. The system lets you swap and remix character abilities mid-fight. On launch, mobile players start with Es, Mai, and Hibiki unlocked for free.
The rest of the roster is available using Analyzers, an in-game currency. There’s no gacha system here, which is a plus. You want a new character, you work toward it.
Every run is different from the last, with a possibility of good runs feeding into future ones. Meanwhile, if you collect a set number of BlazBlue characters, you’ll get to unlock ICEY as a playable crossover.
BlazBlue: Entropy Effect offers gamepad support and a co-op LAN mode. It’s free to play, so check it out on the Google Play Store.
