Triomatica Games has officially released Boxville 2 across mobile, PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, and Xbox. The sequel to the hit puzzle adventure Boxville expands on the original with richer environments.
The quiet world is back in motion in Boxville 2
This time, the journey stretches far beyond the city’s worn-out cardboard borders. You’ll once again dive into its wordless, atmospheric universe filled with logic-based challenges. Also, this one has more complex puzzles and a deeper emotional narrative.
If you played the original Boxville, you are already familiar with the charm. It’s a world where silence is more powerful than speech, and every rusted corner of the environment tells a story.
The story kicks off with a celebration gone wrong. Two tin can friends, assigned by the mayor to set up fireworks for the city’s big event, end up triggering a disaster instead.
One friend disappears in the chaos, and the other, the determined red can, sets off on a search for him. On his way, he uncovers secrets hidden deep within Boxville’s streets and even beyond its city limits.
The stakes are personal, but the journey feels universal. Boxville 2 characters communicate with sketches and symbols. So, there are a lot of charming hand-drawn 2D animations. Every background is illustrated, and each scene has its own unique soundtrack.
There are dozens of puzzles in the game which keep progressing the story. You’ll be doing things like helping the environment recover from the aftermath of the fireworks or navigating crumbling rooftops in search of clues.
It retains the charm and warmth
Boxville 2 builds on the first game’s foundation with more intricate puzzles, new emotional beats, and a broader world. It’s a more mature, more expansive take on what made the first one memorable. You’ll come across themes of friendship, memory, and the will to fix what’s broken.
Boxville 2 stands alone just as well as it builds on the past. So, take an atmospheric journey and grab the game from the Google Play Store. You can grab it for $3.99.
