Rockstar, the developers of the GTA series, has dropped an Anniversary Edition update for Bully on mobile. Yep, after six long years, they finally dropped an update! The new update is available for mobile only, not console and PC.
Rockstar Hasn’t Forgotten about Bullworth Academy!
Bully: Anniversary Edition has updated new languages and the patch focuses on stability improvements and bug fixes. First off, Rockstar has temporarily disabled Friends Challenges for the time being.
They also enabled Screen Space Ambient Occlusion (SSAO) for Android users with supported devices, updated the app icon and added haptic feedback on both platforms.
Missions like ‘That Bitch’ where Mandy’s locker was impossible to pick, ‘Weed Killer’ which wouldn’t progress if you broke the window too early have been fixed. And so have been the police cars in ‘The Rumble’ which just fell through the floor earlier.
There were also cases where enemies just refused to attack Jimmy, making fights feel weirdly one-sided. The update takes care of that too, along with crashes that could happen when starting a new game or loading a save from the pause menu.
What Do Players Have to Say about Bully: Anniversary Edition?
Players have been asking for Bully 2 for years, but Rockstar seems to have other priorities. The sequel was reportedly in development in the 2010s but got scrapped in favour of Red Dead Redemption 2 and GTA Online.
With GTA 6 in the works, Bully 2 isn’t looking too likely, especially since many of the original developers have left Rockstar. Now, the new update isn’t a full remaster or a sequel, but for mobile players, it’s a decent upgrade.
If you never played Bully before, it’s basically Rockstar’s take on a schoolyard sandbox game. You play as Jimmy Hopkins, a rebellious 15-year-old trying to navigate life at Bullworth Academy. It has the classic Rockstar humour and open-world mischief.
So, check out Bully: Anniversary Edition on the Google Play Store. It priced at €7.99 and offers full gamepad support.
