Having already released a more modern racing game, aptly named Cargasm HD, Candella Systems LTD has decided to release another racing game but this time set in a more Roman type of theme called Chariot Wars. This game does feature both single-player and multiplayer game modes to race in.

Update: October 17th, 2014 8:55am PST: Chariot Wars has been updated with the final version of the game, adding a good amount of new features for players to enjoy.

New Features:

– Real-time and turn-based multiplayer
– Up to 4 players in real-time multiplayer
– Record your races using Kamkord and Applifier
– Upload game videos to YouTube and Facebook
– Completely rewritten AI for a lighter difficulty setting
– Modified game levels and lighting for more exciting single player and multiplayer
– Pick up boost coins during race for extra speed boost
– Achievements and global leaderboard
– Challenge your Facebook, Google+ friends to real-time or turn-based multiplayer matches

As you’re probably guessing by the name of this game, Chariot Wars has palyers racing in horse-drawn chariots with 3D visuals that are pretty decent.

Chariot Wars Features:

• Singleplayer arcade racing including Championship and Time Trial modes
• 4 player multiplayer
• Game levels set in Ancient Greece, Egypt, Helvetia and Gaul
• Day and night levels
• Pushing the limits of current mobile 3D graphics hardware,
• Exciting singleplayer story told via a digital graphic novel
• Achievements & Global leaderboard
• Challenge your Facebook, Google+, Twitter, Game Circle friends to multiplayer racing matches
• Record your gameplay videos and upload to YouTube, Facebook
• Eight different chariot models
• Male and female charioteer avatars
• Multiple horse types

This is actually a bit of an in-depth game as well with different Chariots and horse types to select. This means there’s plenty of combinations for you to try out before picking the one that you prefer to race in.

If you’re interested in checking out this rather unique racing game, you can download it off of Google Play for free to try out. You can unlock the full game through an IAP of around $10. You can also see the game in action in the video trailer above.

Update: For whatever particular reason there is no multiplayer in this game even though it apparently is supposed to have it. We didn’t notice that at the time of writing. Just a heads up.
