Chronomon – Monster Farm is out in early access on Android. It’s a monster-taming farm sim by Stone Golem Studios. The game costs a one-time $9.99 and comes with no ads or in-app purchases.

Manage a Post-Apocalyptic Farm

The game lets you rebuild towns and deal with a mysterious group called the Epoch Syndicate. You start off in a ruined world, which is quite pixelated. You catch and train Chronomon, a type of critter. There are over 100 of them with different traits, rarities, and skill trees.

There are 39 skill trees and more than 300 skills. Some Chronomon are just helpful for exploration and farming, while others will be key to pulling off the Perfect Hits in battle or unlocking hidden passives. They can help out on the farm too, in planting, harvesting, and smashing rocks.

There are over 50 different crops to plant, and you can go fishing and catch over 20 types of fish. The food you cook helps you and your Chronomon stay in shape. The weather system adds some unpredictability with snowstorms, rain, and other disasters which affect both your crops and your combat plans.

The story lets you decide whether you want to focus on being a Monster Tamer, a Farmer, or both. It’s got a big open world to explore with dungeons, forests, towns, and secret glades. On that note, catch a glimpse of the game below.

Chronomon also Plays with Time

You’ll see the world change depending on the time of day, which affects enemy behaviour and NPC availability. There’s even a mail system and weekly job boards in towns to keep you coming back.

Right now, in early access, you can play through all the main content, visit 7 towns, take on real-time and turn-based battles, grow your farm, fish, craft, and decorate. There’s a lot to do already, but the devs plan to keep building on it for about a year before the 1.0 release.

Chronomon offers a cloud-saving system that can be played across devices, including mobile phones, PCs, consoles, and smartwatches. Yep, it’s a game that you can play on your smartwatch. So, check it out on the Google Play Store.
